One of KPMG Canada's youngest ever Senior Managers, CFO of an international energy services company before age 30, and hand-picked by GE for a unique leadership training series at Crotonville, Jonathan has earned a reputation as one of Calgary's brightest financial executives. A current or former member of CPA Canada (Alberta), Canadian Tax Foundation, Financial Planning Standards Council, Society of Trust and Estate Planners, and Financial Executives International, Jonathan has supported and trained many other accounting professionals along the way. Once he came to realize just how much even the best run companies were often leaving on the table with respect to opportunities to save money, he felt compelled to provide his expertise to more than just a single employer. Ari Taub, a corporate lawyer and 2008 Olympian in the sport of Wrestling, is an accomplished entrepreneur and executive leader with over two decades of experience driving growth and innovation across diverse industries. Ari started his career working as a tax lawyer at large Canadian law firms and then opened his own firm, Taub Law Office, which works with business owners as well as people in the TV production space.
As CEO of Hard Knocks Fighting Championship since 2009, Ari has championed the growth of professional and amateur MMA events in Canada, establishing a widely recognized platform for athletes and fans. When Hard Knocks secured a TV deal with ESPN in 40 countries in 2012, Ari jumped into the TV / Media space and has been involved with hundreds of millions of dollars of TV production, launched one of the first FAST channels on XUMO and has generally been at the forefront of how technology is influencing change in the media space. Ari has been involved in operating a media distribution business that delivers content to key platforms in the digital media space, including the likes of Xumo, Pluto, Redbox, Amazon, Apple TV, Roku, IOS, and Android. The business also licensed content to traditional broadcasters, including ESPN, beIN SPORTS, Dish, Vubiquity, and InDemand.
